The new dinos coming to The Isle: Evrima in 2026
Five species are on their way to Evrima — a fishing raptor, a spiked dino, an egg thief. Here's where the roadmap actually stands.
Austroraptor, Baryonyx, Kentrosaurus, Oviraptor, Avaceratops: The Isle: Evrima dev blogs announce five new playable species, with Camarasaurus and Quetzalcoatlus on the way. The real state of the roadmap, no fake dates.

Five new species announced
Recent The Isle: Evrima dev blogs (notably blog 68 from May 2026 and blog 69 from early June) confirm five new playable species in development: Austroraptor, Baryonyx, Kentrosaurus, Oviraptor and Avaceratops. Behind them, two giants are approaching: the sauropod Camarasaurus and the pterosaur Quetzalcoatlus, whose sounds are in production.
An honest warning up front: the developers give no firm release dates, and content can change. Some of these species are well along (Baryonyx is getting close), others are still at the concept stage. We sum up what's actually announced, not promises.
Who are the five newcomers?
| Species | Diet | Announced playstyle |
|---|---|---|
Each species already exists in our paleo encyclopedia, on the science side. You can compare the real creature to its future playable version:
How a dino reaches Evrima
A new dino doesn't land on the main server all at once. The pipeline the devs describe always follows the same steps: the model and animations are finalized, then the sound team adds the calls (Baryonyx gets guttural growls to match its amphibious style, Quetzalcoatlus a unique call concept). The species then goes into Hordetest (HT), a test server where the community puts it through its paces and performance is monitored. If it holds, it's prepared for Live Evrima.
That's why no date is guaranteed: a species can stay in Hordetest as long as needed. Dev blogs 68 and 69 also confirmed deeper work in parallel — map zone reworks, a slope-sliding mechanic to differentiate bipeds and quadrupeds, and a new skin colour system.
And on the La Meute QC server?
Our Québec The Isle: Evrima server runs 24/7 on the official Live build: the moment one of these species hits Live Evrima, it becomes playable on our server. For now, the current roster has about twenty playable dinos, each with its stats page, and you can prep your build with the calculator. To follow the newcomers in real time, the community Discord is the best place.
