Yes — the Hypsilophodon gastric acid spit in The Isle: Evrima temporarily blinds any predator hit, regardless of tier. A Tyrannosaurus can be blinded by a 20 HP Hypsi. Obviously it doesn't kill it, but it gives the Hypsi time to flee at 43 km/h with 215 stamina. On La Meute QC, the acid + enhanced jump is the most effective T1 survival combo despite its negligible 5 max damage.
The Hypsilophodon has the highest pack limit in the game — 10 individuals in The Isle: Evrima. A group of 10 Hypsis represents a nearly unmanageable swarm for a predator: 215 stamina each, enhanced jump, blinding spit x10. On La Meute QC, a predator attacking a herd of 10 Hypsis risks being repeatedly blinded while the herd flees in 10 different directions. The 30min-1h growth time makes losses inconsequential.
The Hypsilophodon is an excellent starter dino in The Isle: Evrima thanks to its 30min-1h growth time. Its 20 HP make it extremely fragile, but its blinding spit + enhanced jump teaches the basics of dodging and fleeing. On La Meute QC, advice for beginners: play in groups of 10, eat plants, avoid any contact with T2+ carnivores, and use the spit only to buy escape time — never to try to injure.
