Discover the real Herrerasaurus: era, anatomy, scientific findings.
Yes — the Herrerasaurus is the only playable dinosaur in The Isle: Evrima capable of climbing trees. This unique mechanic opens a dimension of play inaccessible to others: setting vertical ambushes, scouting from above, or taking refuge from larger predators. On La Meute QC, a Herrerasaurus in the canopy is nearly impossible to target by T4+ that have no way to climb.
The Herrerasaurus Drop Attack in The Isle: Evrima consists of dropping from the tree onto prey below — the height impact inflicts bonus damage. With only 50 ground bite damage, this height advantage is essential to compensate. On La Meute QC, the optimal technique: climb a tree near a waterway or clearing, wait for prey to pass below, then Drop Attack + rapid bites before climbing back up.
A tough matchup for the Herrerasaurus. Both have 500 HP, but the Omniraptor (80 damage, bleeding Pounce) has better ground attacks than the Herrera (50 damage). The Herrera's 55 km/h speed lets it flee, but if the Omni Pounces it, it's in trouble. On La Meute QC, the Herrera must avoid the ground against Omnis and fall back on its vertical mobility — its true advantage.
