Palworld is an open-world survival and creature-collection game by Japanese studio Pocketpair. You explore the Palpagos Islands, capture Pals with Pal Spheres, build your base and take on bosses. Released in Early Access on January 19, 2024 on Steam and Xbox, it hit 2.1 million concurrent Steam players — the second-highest of all time — and over 25 million players in one month. It reached its 1.0 full release on July 10, 2026, bringing the total to 287 Pals.
Each Pal can fight by your side, be ridden or assigned to base work: mining, farming, power generation, crafting. Breeding lets you combine traits, and combat mixes guns, melee and Pal abilities. The game supports Steam/Xbox cross-play and is included in Xbox Game Pass.
