Stegosaurus is a genus of herbivorous thyreophoran dinosaur. Its fossils date to the Late Jurassic, in Kimmeridgian to early Tithonian strata, between 155 and 150 million years ago, in the western United States and Portugal. Of the species classified in the upper Morrison Formation, three are universally recognized: S. stenops, S. ungulatus and S. sulcatus. The remains of over 80 individuals have been found. Stegosaurus lived alongside dinosaurs such as Apatosaurus, Diplodocus, Brachiosaurus, Allosaurus and Ceratosaurus; the latter two may have preyed on it. It belongs to the family Stegosauridae.
🦴 Full scientific profileLess agile than its cousin Kentrosaurus, but much stronger. Tail Attack is the default strike: when fully grown it deals high damage and good bleed, multiplied by the combat-weight difference — so Stego hits most opponents hard. Tail Swing is its strongest charged attack, best against slow or large targets that can't dodge it; conserve stamina for it and be careful not to hit allies.
Replace the standard hide with Armored Plates as soon as possible: they boost defense without costing speed. Solar Powered offers no armor but +30% stamina recovery during the day — not to be underestimated for bleeding opponents out or sustaining against hit-and-run tactics. Pivot, triggered after a few seconds standing still, grants very fast precise-movement turning to answer a frontal attack with a solid tail smack.
Yes, Tail Attack is Stegosaurus's default strike and deals heavy bleed damage. Tail Swing is the most powerful charged attack — ideal against slow targets. With a damage stat of 4/5 and the combat weight mechanic, Stego hits most same-size or smaller opponents very hard on La Meute QC.
Stegosaurus has a group slot size of 4 — the largest among playable stegosaurids. In a herd, Fresh Blood (+10% attack within 50m of a bleeding creature) creates a devastating feedback loop: each tail hit that bleeds an enemy makes the next hits stronger. On La Meute QC, a group of 4 Stego forms a genuine defensive wall.
Pivot activates after 5 seconds standing still and grants extremely fast turning until next movement. On La Meute QC, it's the ideal answer to predators trying to attack from behind: stop, let the enemy approach, then pivot to land a Tail Swing or Tail Attack at the right moment. Combined with Solar Powered (+30% stamina recovery during day), it lets you hold out a long time.
