Tylosaurus proriger
Nicknames : Tylo · Tyler · Tylersaurus
A large aquatic carnivore. A fully aquatic reptile perfectly at home in deep water, able to grab some of the largest dinosaurs in the game and drag them underwater to crunch and break their bones.
On La Meute QC's Path of Titans server, Tylosaurus (Tylosaurus proriger) is a carnivore of the Aquatic class rated 5/5 for damage, 3/5 for defence, 1/5 for land speed and 4/5 for survivability, taking 4 group slots. Growth is earned by staying alive, with no teleport.
Tylosaurus has an incredibly long body and tail, four short flippers that propel it through the water and for brief bursts on land, and a tail ending in a large paddle whose shape varies by subspecies. Its short, orca-like snout is filled with conical teeth.
Ability-point cost per slot.
Gain the ability to dive and improved water mobility. See clearer underwater, in fog and rainstorms. Passively tracks the nearest fish within 100 metres.
Immune to all movement speed debuffs.
Transitioning from water to land improves grounded movement for 10s: -100% sprint stamina cost, better turning and a decaying 250% speed boost. Every 120s.
Bite and hold onto enemies as long as your stamina allows. Can move and drag them. Immune to knockback while carrying a dinosaur.
Attack causing piercing damage. Can chew on clamped targets, which receive Fracture damage.
Wind up a headbutt, then release it for a quick forward speed boost while dealing damage. -20% movement speed while winding up.
Small damage and low Fracture. Can trigger a full Bone Break.
Charge up the attack and inflict Fracture based on how long it's held. Can trigger a Bone Break if the target has high Fracture.
Reduces sprint stamina cost by 30%. +100% swimming and diving acceleration within 50m of a fractured target.
+15% stamina recovery. Landing a headbutt against terrain or a player applies an AoE dealing up to 50% of the headbutt's damage.
Deal 20% increased piercing damage.
Can eat meat and fish, moderate food drain.
Increases carry capacity. 25% increased bucking resistance.
Increases Bleed, Poison, Venom and Toxin heal by 20%.
Deal 15% more Fracture damage. Bone Snap now uses less stamina.
Activate to quickly dodge while swimming or diving. Can use Bone Snap while active.
A high-damage attack with no knockback. Must be in water to use.
Damage and status effects inflicted to your tail are dramatically reduced.
Reduces Fracture healing for all creatures not in your group within 50m by 35% for 120 seconds.
Eating a player's corpse grants the 'Ravenous' health recovery buff for 60s. Every 240s. Reduced if bleeding.
A loud call that stuns all targets in water within 30m for 5s (-15% speed, no abilities, drop carried items). Must be in water. Doesn't affect group members.
Tylosaurus is a mosasaur, a large predatory marine reptile closely related to modern monitor lizards and snakes, from the Late Cretaceous. It was one of the top predators of the oceans of its time: it hunted large plesiosaurs, prehistoric seabirds, large fish and big turtles like Archelon, and probably sometimes engaged in cannibalism. Very successful predators, they went extinct at the K-Pg extinction. Adults averaged 12 metres long and 6 tonnes. Tylosaurus belongs to the family Mosasauridae.
🦴 Full scientific profileTylosaurus builds up Fracture damage with its attacks (Crushing Bite, charged Bone Snap, Pterygoid Teeth +15% fracture). When the target reaches a high threshold, a full Bone Break triggers, severely impairing its movements. On La Meute QC, a Tylo can break the bones of giant herbivores from the water using Bone Snap at maximum charge.
Tylosaurus is classed Aquatic and has a land speed of only 1/5 — nearly useless on land normally. However, the Beachcomber passive gives it a decaying +250% speed burst for 10 seconds when transitioning from water to land (every 120s). On La Meute QC, this passive enables lightning ambushes on Riparia's shores.
Acoustic Debilitation stuns all enemies in water within 30m for 5s: -15% speed, no abilities possible, and they drop held items. On La Meute QC in a group of 4, a Tylo can neutralize multiple opponents simultaneously in aquatic zones. It's a decisive ability in fights engaged in Riparia's deep rivers.
