Spinosaurus aegyptiacus was longer (15-18 m vs 12-13 m for Tyrannosaurus rex) but not necessarily heavier. T-Rex weighed 5-9 tonnes with a more massive build, while Spinosaurus (7-9 t) had an elongated body adapted to aquatic environments. In raw size, Spinosaurus wins on length.
